Every day, thousands of flights cross the skies all over the world. With the recent technological advance, the development of surveillance systems have increased the security of these flights. One such system is the ADS-B, which allows an aircraft to send telemetry signals to terrestrial controllers. However, this system has no built-in security. In this project, we implemented an ADS-B encoder and transmitter to analyze the safety of the system. In initial tests, we were able to transmit data such as aircraft identification, speed and altitude using SDR resources.
