The Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) is a very aggressive malignant
brain tumor. Computational tools to support the GBM study are of great interest
to the field of biomedical research. This article describes the construction of a
computer system based on cellular automata, which simulates the evolution of
GBM undergoing treatment with a drug. Verification of the accuracy of the
system was carried out based on images obtained in the period before and after
a course of treatment with bevacizumab drug. The results obtained show that
the system is promising to replicate the evolution of treatment of GBM with
bevacizumab.
