The adequate use of technological resources in the educational field allows improving the traditional teaching strategies, the quality of meaningful learning and enables students to develop complementary skills. In this context, studies show that would be a significant improvement in learning when using simulation environments. This study aims to verify if the use of a computational tool, designed for the analysis of mechanical vibrations, stimulates students in learning and improves the academic performance. The evaluation was carried out by comparing students who used and those who did not use the computational tool in the discipline of Dynamic Systems, in the course of Mechanical Engineering.
