The system CODES – COoperative Music Prototype DESign – provides a platform for collaborative music prototyping over the Web. Started in 2009, CODES is currently being redesigned in order to be Web standards compliant and to support the new web tendencies. The aim of this paper is to present the main idea and the first steps towards the development of a music sequencer in the CODES environment using HTML5.
